Tarp Stop Assembly | Standard-Duty Aluminum Upright with Base and Hardware

Tarp stops are a crucial part of a side roll tarp system. Trailer tarp stops prevent the rolled up tarp from falling and hanging off the side of the trailer. There are multiple styles of tarp stops, but this is a very basic and straightforward option, featuring a rust-proof aluminum upright held by a powder-coated steel base. Two clevis pins hold the upright in place. Removing the top pin quickly releases the upright, allowing it to rotate down while staying connected to the base via the bottom pin. For trailers with exterior-flanged rails, a tarp stop spacer bracket may be required. This tarp stop assembly is the standard option on all side roll tarp systems due to its durable, affordable, and easy-to-work with design.

The extruded upright is a simpler, more affordable option. For a more rugged, reinforced option, you may want to consider a tarp stop assembly with cast aluminum upright.
