This cable return kit mounts externally to the side of your trailer, and utilizes an internal spring and pulley system to assist in the even rolling and unrolling of your side roll tarp. Traditional bungee returns can be inconsistent due to water absorption, fraying, or loss of tension. This cable return kit features a stainless steel internal spring, a high-strength synthetic cable, and a low-profile housing, ensuring a rugged, low-maintenance solution that keeps consistent tension over time. The housing features a bi-directional pulley which allows the return kit to be mounted vertically or horizontally on the drive or non-drive side.
The tension provided by this cable and spring system helps your tarp roll more evenly from side to side, ensuring tight securement and ease of operation. A free-spinning return collar slides over the 3" roll tube and freely spins during operation, held in place with a retaining collar.
Note: If your latch plate extends to the end of the trailer, you will likely need to cut off a section to allow room for the roller guide bracket and the free movement of the cable.
