Vinyl Tarp Glue Extends Tarp Life

Vinyl Cement creates a durable, weather-proof bond between PVC materials and can greatly extend the life of your tarp. HH-66 Vinyl Cement is recommended by the Advanced Textiles Association for repairing small holes and worn areas on PVC-coated fabrics. Vinyl Cement will NOT work to repair polyethylene tarps. Keep a can onboard along with some patches or old tarp scraps and you'll be able to make repairs and keep on rolling. It is best to allow 24 hours for full curing, but for more time-sensitive emergencies, use our bestselling tarp repair tape so you can finish the job and patch the tarp later when you have more time.

Vinyl Tarp Glue Instructions:

  • 1. Clean surfaces with alcohol or appropriate solvent
  • 2. Lightly sand or abrade any glossy or coated surfaces
  • 3. Apply an even coat to BOTH surfaces using the included brush cap or other applicator. Use one ounce of PVC tarp glue for every square foot of bonded area
  • 4. Allow cement to set for 2-5 minutes until tacky
  • 5. Press surfaces together and allow 10-20 minutes to bind. Full cure time is 24 hours.
  • Note: Patching the underside of the tarp. If the patched area is larger than 12", then patch the top side as well.
