Our Breathable Multi-Mesh flatbed tarps are used for transporting live bees as well as trees and other nursery stock. Similar to a dump truck tarp, the PVC-Coated Polyester multi-mesh material has a tightly woven pattern that offers breathability for temperature sensitive loads while protecting them from the elements and keeping the load secure.
If you’re hauling materials that are temperature sensitive, need airflow or only need basic security and protection from road debris, this 24’ x 27’ multi-mesh tarp can be used for a variety of cargo. It features an 8’ x 8’ flap, 3 rows of zinc-coated D-Rings (spaced every 24”) and rust-proof grommets along the perimeter allowing shorter loads to be transported with the same security.
Bee Transport
Bee colonies are highly temperature-sensitive and need consistent airflow during transport with many states requiring beekeepers moving palletized bees to cover them with netting. Typical loads can have between 400-450 beehives (~22M bees), making it crucial to keep them protected and secured.
Bee Tarps (also referred to as Bee Nets) are designed to keep the hives at a consistent temperature, protect them from road debris and prevent escape. Our bee tarps feature a durable multi-mesh that provides the needed security, breathability and weather resistance for transport while also making it easy for drivers to hose down the hives and regulate the temperature when stopped.
Tree & Nursery Transport
Like bees, nursery stock including Trees and Sod is sensitive to temperature as well as sunlight; transporting live planting materials requires a tarp that provides shade and reduces windflow while also protecting the cargo from road debris and possible insect infestation.
The tightly woven multi-mesh is lightweight to reduce strain on the cargo during transport but maintains durability and prevents ripping as well.
