K0199 Side Mount Spring for Mountain and Pioneer Tarp Systems

The K0199 Mountain Tarp Spring is the OEM spring of choice for Mountain and Pioneer 4 and 5 spring side-mount tarp systems, including the K614CSE, K612TE, The coiled flat steel stores torsion energy when the tarp is rolled up to the front of the dump bed by the powerful motor. When the motor reverses, the stored energy in the springs is what pushes the arms toward the back of the dump bed. Springs can wear out over time. Compressing and decompressing thousands of times can create tiny fractures over time, and eventually the spring will break, or lose its original strength. Sudden releases of tension may also contribute to loss of functionality. The K0199 is used on Mountain and Pioneer side-mount tarp systems, but is compatible with all other single-tail flat wound spiral torsion springs, including our generic Tarp Arm Spring for Side-Mount Tarp Systems.
